My name is Philip Kuhl, this will be my 7th year teaching Spanish at North Charleston High School. In addition to teaching Spanish I also coach men's soccer as well as assist with the football team. You may also see me occasionally driving one of the activity buses.

Courses Taught

Spanish I: This is the Low Novice Level of language study. Spanish 1 is a beginning level course in which the students learn the most basic words and expressions in the language.  Emphasis is on the communication skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.  Students study the language and culture of the Hispanic people and countries.  It serves as a college preparatory course for average and above average students.

 Spanish II: This is the Intermediate Novice Level of language study. Spanish 2 is an intermediate level course in which the students will continue to learn more basic and intermediate words and expressions in the language.  Emphasis is on the communication skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.  Students study the language and culture of the Hispanic people and countries.  It serves as a college preparatory course for average and above average students.

 Spanish III: This is the High Novice Level of language study. Spanish 3 is an advanced level course in which the students learn more in depth grammar and vocabulary in the language.  Emphasis is on the communication skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.  Students study the language and culture of the Hispanic people and countries.  It serves as a college preparatory course for average and above average students.
